Our Ministries
Wednesday Meal
Mission First hosts Ministries at Main Street’s weekly meal for takeout starting at 6pm. Many community groups cook and serve the meal on Wednesday evenings. It is a fun filled evening of eating, talking, laughing and fellowship. Donations of paper products, individual wrapped snacks, individual bags of chips, etc. can be made by calling 610-325-0560.
Baskets of Hope
Baskets of Hope is an outreach ministry that provides a jump start to individuals moving into a home for the first time. This transition can be daunting, so we are helping by providing a few essentials. Each basket will contain initial cleaning supplies, kitchen items such as dishes and pans, and linens.
We are thrilled to help spread a little HOPE as you take your next step.
Baskets of Hope is a significant endeavor. We need a lot of supplies to prepare each basket. We do not know how many individuals will be placed in permanent housing each month, but we need to be prepared. Some items are new, but others can be lightly used. Please visit our Donation page to see how you can help.
Laundry Love
Held the 3rd Tuesday of each month, from 3 pm to 5 pm, at the Secure Wash laundromat across the street (423 High Street) from Mission First. Our neighborhood friends are given laundry packets of detergent, dryer sheets, and money for 2 loads of washing and drying. We also provide a light meal of pizza, fruit, desert, snacks, and drinks. But most importantly we provide encouragement, hope and fellowship. This ministry is provided by a team of volunteers from St. Gabe’s in Douglassville, Friedens Lutheran Church, Stony Run, and Mission First. Donations can be made to this ministry by calling 610-326-0560 or if you wish to volunteer.
