How do people know you? When you meet people what is the impression that you leave? Would people know that you have given your life to Christ based on your interactions with them?
John 13:35 states “…by this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
Recently I had the opportunity to show the love that John describes. I felt the urge to speak to a woman who was seeking shelter, homeless, and with very young children. I spoke with her about my experience being homeless with an infant and how I am now able to look back and see God’s love and provision, even in that hard place. I felt the over whelming urge to reassure her of God’s love for her, and in that moment, I felt genuine love for someone I had only just met.
As followers of Christ, we need to be willing to show love to everyone that the Lord puts on our heart. Simply stated, the most powerful testimony we have of God’s love is when we show that love is in everything we do. Transformation occurs in the light of the love that our Lord has for us.
Romans 5:8 states “…but God demonstrates his own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. “
As you go about your day, leave room for Christ to use you as a vessel to show his love. By Sequaisa McPherson
Hi Everyone,
As we observe this Good Friday and Easter weekend may we all show love to everyone we meet, the way Jesus does to us. Put love on every day!
Hope you all have a beautiful Easter weekend.
